This is a precursor to Canvas Dx. The Cognoa app code base could generate several app variations intended for separate user bases but with some overlapping features. The Cognoa Enterprise app served the employees of companies that wanted to offer Autism screening and informational support. It included the same core user features ultimately offered in the Canvas Dx app, but also included a wide variety of pediatric behavioral information and a customizable activity plan to aid in a child’s development. As a screening tool, and not a diagnostic device, the child’s report was less detailed but displayed directly within the UI.
This iteration of the code base included a native UI with various embedded web views hosting additional detailed information.
Image Pre-caching
This version also relied heavily on images. To reduce the app package size and remove the need to store multiple image resolutions, all images were cached on app launch. The system calculated the ideal resolution needed for the current device over various categories of images.
